CLAIRE ENVIRO SERVICES Consultants & Project Managers
Often mould can be observed by our customers. We have the experience to find mould which isn't always visible. Herewith is a picture of a broken drain pipe beneath the floor under the kitchen sink. Our customer was convinced he had a leak in his external foundation causing dampness in his basement office carpet. Upon inspection we were able to identify the source of moisture within an interior wall of another room. Problem corrected. Time and money saved!
We use accredited and independent laboratories for our sample analysis. This ensures the quality and reliability of our reports each time we deliver to customers. Alberta Services highly recommends that customers use two separate companies for site monitoring and abatements to ensure unbiased and accurate reporting. In many provinces such as British Columbia, the separation of services is mandatory.
To be granted a demolition permit, cities and municipalities require written confirmation that asbestos has been completely removed from the building and the final air quality monitoring report meets the guidelines set by Provincial Abatement Control Manuals, Provincial Occupational and Safety Acts, and Provincial Guidelines for the disposal of Asbestos Waste. Claire Enviro Services also has developed internal corporate safety guidelines including: "Claire Asbestos Code of Practice", "Claire Respiratory Code of Practice" and "Claire Safety Code of Practice". It's just how we do business...….safety first, every time.
When customers including abatement and remediation companies contract us to monitor and supervise hazardous projects, we ensure everyone has a "fit test" respiratory card for their masks. Having the right mask and filter cartridges for the job at hand is not enough. A face must fit properly. Without testing, there is no assurance of protection. The Claire Safety Code of Practice is always adhered to for workers. It also applies to how a site is managed to ensure there is no air leakage from within mould and asbestos containments.
As Project Managers, we plan work schedules and supervise sites on a daily basis. We ensure work is completed in a cost effective manner reducing delays and assuring worker and customer safety each day. During a project, a home is a worksite. Methodology is very important to ensure a successful outcome for employees, contractors, and customers.

We provide on site air testing and property inspections to verify the presence of hazardous materials including:
Claire will diligently explore a building to collect samples in order to identify potentially hazardous materials. Samples are delivered to an accredited laboratory for analysis. Our customers receive a detailed report of the results including materials identified as hazardous, their location and content. Items identified may include:
Cities and Rural Municipalities require written verification that hazardous materials are eliminated prior to issuing permits. We do this for:
We will verify the presence (or non-presence) of hazardous containing materials in the building you own, intend to purchase or renovate. Ensure you are informed of all potential risks and how to manage such risk. Customers include:
Upon the completion of hazardous material assessment, a plan should be developed to ensure your workplace is safe and healthy for everyone over time. The Management Plan serves as a baseline reference for decision makers when completing future work on the property. A Corporate Health & Safety Plan for employers is incomplete if it does not address hazardous materials within a property or material asset. We work with corporate Health & Safety Officers by addressing risk management and integrating our findings into their existing Health & Safety Plan.
The air we breath in the workplace (office and on project sites) should be healthy for everyone. Companies tend to qualify their safety measurements and procedures by ensuring such things as correct eye wear, hard hats, steel toe boots, and "slip trip and fall" strategies. Working at heights, on platforms and ladders, and in confined spaces are other safety issues. These are all tremendously important to some workers. However, Claire believes air quality is very important to everyone . It can affect each employee or contractor differently. Daily productivity, continual patterns of absence, difficulty keeping employees in unhealthy environments and quality of work can be affected by unhealthy air. Claire has a history of management consulting in business. Air quality can be a management issue. Yet it remains unrecognized by many companies.
